Scarlett Johansson explains why co-hosting TODAY with Jenna & Friends is a ‘fantasy job’ for her

She’s been nominated for a pair of Academy Awards and worked with the likes of Morgan Freeman, Bill Murray, Matt Damon and Bradley Cooper. But Scarlett Johansson says being part of the TODAY family is a real career highlight for her.

Johansson, who spent a week sitting next to Jenna Bush Hager while co-hosting TODAY with Jenna & Friends the week of Jan. 20, says the experience is right up her alley.

“(Co-hosting) TODAY really is a fantasy job for me,” she told InStyle. “I like every element of that job because I love talking to people. It’s not dissimilar from hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’ in some ways.”

“The live element of it is really fun. Spontaneous and a little dangerous too. I would never want my own TV show,” she added.

Jenna has been co-hosting with a rotating group of people after Hoda Kotb left TODAY. When Jenna met Johansson at a dinner party, she said she thought the actor could be a perfect fit to step in as a co-host.
