Scarlett Johansson doesn’t want to take photos with fans when she’s not working.

The “Black Widow” star revealed she implemented boundaries with passionate fans while she is away from the movie set or an event and trying to “buy my own s–t at Duane Reade.”

“It offends a lot of people,” Johansson told InStyle magazine. “It doesn’t mean I’m not appreciative, of course, that people are fans or happy to see me. But I always say to people, ‘I’m not working.’ [And that means] I don’t want to be identified as being in this time and place with you. I’m doing my own thing.”

The two-time Oscar nominee added that she doesn’t want to be “self-conscious” in public while trying to be in her “own thoughts that have nothing to do with what other people think of me.”

Still, the New York native insisted that her life isn’t all a closed book.
