Chris Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown Discuss Real-Life Love & The Electric State

Introducing a new onscreen duo can be a challenge, especially if you take beloved actors from wildly different movie universes to create an unexpected pairing that no one has seen coming.
But for Chris Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown, the experience has been a seamless crossover. Watching them on my screen during our video interview, after the UK premiere of their film The Electric State, it feels like they’ve known each other forever. “It was a real love fest,” says Pratt, an actor Marvel fans will immediately recognise as Quill Star-Lord from the Guardians Of The Galaxy films and Avengers Infinity Saga. Millie Bobby Brown, whom we know as Eleven from the massively popular Stranger Things, echoes the sentiment. Pratt has been jumping in and out of franchise films, ranging from Jurassic World to lending his voice for The Lego movies, and Millie, on the other hand, has gone from leading the detective drama Enola Holmes to experimenting with action in Damsel. Between them, they have the solid makings of a good duo. The two gush over each other in our short and sweet exclusive chat.
A New Team-Up

Wedded Bliss
Millie adds another tidbit.
“We were rehearsing our Grease dance number. We performed You’re the One That I Want at our wedding. So we had a lot of fun going over the details of our wedding during production. But we’ve just had the best times. It’s been a year since we got married. We’re happy.” Chris, who married Katherine in June 2019, shares, “There’s not a part of my life that didn’t change for the better when I got married to Katherine. She’s been a wonderful support system. She’s got incredible wisdom and discernment. This walk through life together has been beautiful and fruitful. We’ve got three wonderful children together. She’s also an incredible stepmom to my son, Jack. And she’s just so solid, loving, and nurturing. I have so many deficits in my life that she fills. We just have a great partnership.”
