The love story between Hollywood stars Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, which captivated millions, ended in divorce in 2018.

However, years after their legal separation, the actor has publicly expressed that the end of his marriage to Garner is his “biggest regret”, a revelation that confirms the personal problems the renowned actor has had and that to this day generates regrets with his past and the opportunities he had.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner first met on the set of the movie “Pearl Harbor”; however, their romance began in 2003, during the filming of “Daredevil.”

The couple married in an intimate ceremony in 2005, and throughout their union, they welcomed three children: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.

Their marriage was one of the most media-friendly and beloved in Hollywood and came to an end with the formalization of their divorce in 2018.

Affleck told The New York Times in 2020 what his biggest regret in life has been. “My divorce from Jennifer Garner is the biggest regret of my life.

It has no positive consequences. It’s just stewing in a toxic, horrible feeling of low self-esteem and self-loathing,” he said

Ben Affleck’s problems were partly to blame for the divorce from Garner. In the interview, the actor said he had many problems with alcohol.

“I drank relatively normally for a long time. What happened was that I started drinking more and more when my marriage was falling apart.”

“My drinking, of course, created more marital problems. It’s not healthy for me to obsess over failures and relapses and punish myself. I’ve certainly made mistakes. I’ve certainly done things I regret. But you have to get up, learn from it, learn even more, and try to move on,” the actor added.

Another of the iconic relationships in the entertainment world is the one Affleck had with Jennifer Lopez, which is full of controversies and problems between them. Before his relationship with Garner, Ben Affleck was about to marry Lopez in 2003; however, the media pressure made them cancel it and go their separate ways.

In 2021, Lopez and Affleck decided to get back together and had a three-year relationship that ended in 2024 with many problems between them and controversies in between.
