At the Academy Awards last weekend, actress Scarlett Johansson was excited to gossip backstage at the Dolby Theatre with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. The subject was the recently affianced couple Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco.

Ripa asked Johansson if she’d caught “any gossip” from her spot in the audience and luckily she was seated right beside the adorable couple.

“Well, I’m sitting next to Selena and Benny and I have to say… I’m seeing a lot of very cute, honeymoon-phase cuteness happening,” she explained, smiling.

Johansson was at the awards as a presenter, and Gomez’s film Emilia Pérez received 13 nominations that night, including for Best Picture. The award for Best Supporting Actress ultimately went to Gomez’s co-star Zoe Saldaña, and the film also won for Best Original Song with the track “El Mal.”

Gomez and Blanco got engaged in December and announced they were releasing an album together last month.  I Said I Love You First is scheduled for release on March 21. In February, they had their first shared interview with Interview Magazine to promote the project, revealing some details of the proposal during the discussion.

“It couldn’t have come at a better time because I was starting to fuck up,” shared Blanco. “The thing that makes me so crazy is, you’re getting engaged, and right before, they’re like, ‘Show me how good of a liar you are. Sneak around and try to do this perfect thing without me knowing.’”

He explained, “At the end, she was starting to get upset because she was like, ‘Why aren’t you coming home tonight?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, I’m just at my friends.’ I almost did it early. But I nailed it, I think.”
